RoM - Black Sheep                Nita, Cyrus, and Cora all stood at then wooden rail fence, each with a tight grip on the leash hooked to the collar around their Tokota’s neck. It was still early in the morning, but a perfect day for the trio’s merit rite. The weather was supposed to be sunny for most of the day and there was only a light pleasant breeze, just enough to make the Tokotas’ manes billow and toss the two women’s braids around a bit. Sandstorm was looking rather majestic, the sand roan sporting a lovely dark blue collar that stood out against his mane. With his head resting on Nita’s shoulder, Atreyu was also wearing a collar of blue, but of a lighter slate colored variety; she had not been able to resist giving the piebald male a color befitting of his nickname. Beside the two woman, Cyrus was carrying on a conversation with Katarzyna – and presumably the other two Tokotas – with the half mane seal sport RoF - Detours                Cora and Nita rode along side-by-side, quiet for the time being. It was still early in the morning and every now and then one of the women would lift a hand to rub what remained of the sleep from her eyes. As drowsy as they still felt, they were in agreement that they could have used another hour or two of sleep; it would have been enough time to allow the sun to rise at least and warm the air around them. Frost was clinging to the ground and the foliage they passed, clouds of breath rising in front of their faces and billowing out in miniature storms from their Tokotas’ muzzles as they panted, a clear sign that colder weather was on the way and summer was coming to an end. It was the fourth day of their three hundred and fifty mile journey however, and they still had enough distance to go that leaving early had seemed the most prudent course of action.
