Personality:

[Sweet/Compassionate]~[Dainty]~[Proper/Well-Mannered]~[Curious/Nosy]~[Niave]~[Dramatic]

[Sweet/Compassionate]

Rainpaw can show cheer to even the most sour cats. She is a very "glass half full" kind of cat and likes to see the good in everything. Even if she has a small meal she will seek to share it with someone, believing that doing something kind will bring good things back to her. It hurts her to see cats sad or in pain.

 [Dainty]

The idea of getting dirty can offend her at times, making her seem rather ridiculous given where she lives. Rainpaw tends to step lightly wherever she goes, hating the idea of trampling things.

[Proper/Well-Mannered]

Rainpaw does her best to speak properly and with respect to every cat. She will never make rude jokes or poke fun at another cat.

[Curious/Nosy]

Rainpaw likes to know what's going on with anyone and everyone, even cats outside the clans. One of her favorite past times is eavesdropping on the warriors' conversation or simply listening while the queens gossip. She can tend to stick her nose where it doesn't belong and sometimes gets herself into trouble because of it.

[Niave]

Despite her nosy nature. Rainpaw can be rather niave and gullible. This gets her into awkward situations and a lot of trouble as she can never tell when a cat is being truthful with her or not.

[Dramatic]

Rainpaw has a great tendency to exaggerate. She can tell fish stories about the prey the warriors bring in and likes to add a lot of flare even to the simplest every day going ons.

Brief Backstory:

Prologue

Silverfang and Berrywhisker had a fairly average romance. As warriors of SkyClan they spent a fair amount of time together and considered on another pleasant to be around; and so they grew together naturally, becoming mates being the next step in their relationship. Not much changed other than the label, even when Berrywhisker was expecting kits. The pair were excited of course, equally pleased to be having kits of their own as well as bringing new future warrior into the clan. The birth went well with the couple greeting strong and healthy kits.

Kithood

Rainkit was always excited by something – new kits in the nursery, older kits becoming apprentices, the fresh moss brought to their nests, even the sun rising and all the general day-to-day on going activities of the clan. She loved to sit just inside the nursery entrance and watch the clan go about their business, finding even their smallest movements fascinating. Each moment was something to cherish, and hopefully held something new and exciting to learn. The kit made it a point to plant the seed of friendship with all the other kits in the nursery, even the ones who had already gone on to become apprentices. She spent a good deal of time climbing in and out of other queens nests, often picking up gossip along the way. It was in this way she discovered her parents’ relationship was not quite so happy as it seemed.

Apprenticeship || In progress

Shortly after being apprenticed, Silverfang and Berrywhisker parted ways as mates, still considering each other as a friend and remaining on good terms; their relationship had been a good one, but was not quite the true love and real romance that they had both been looking for. Rainpaw was relieved at this, having been terrified for moons that her parents hated each other after hearing the other queens talk among themselves. She gets easily distracted by the other apprentices around her during combat training. Rainpaw spent a lot of her training time with Galepaw, including her first ever sparring session. With the passing of the tom's siblings, it left the two of them as the only apprentices in the clan, resulting in the pair being forced into training together quite a bit. Rainpaw didn't mind in the least however, quite enjoying Galepaw's company. While learning to climb, Rainpaw found herself stuck in a tree. Fortunately for her, Galepaw was around and able to get her down. She definitely considers him her best friend and doesn't really care whether or not he has the same opinion of her.
After the attempted invasion by ShadowClan, Rainpaw found herself much more wary of those cats instead of her usual social self.
Her training progressed well, although it was slower and somewhat halting when it came to combat training; her mentor, and elderly tom, quickly discovered that it was best not to train her with the other apprentices in battle skills as she was quite easily distracted and needed a few moons to develop her focus. It was the worst when she witnessed anyone appear to be hurt, even if they had just fallen over from a light blow, or even tripped over their own paws; she would stop everything, even in the middle of a lecture or lesson to ensure they were okay before allowing anything to continue. It took an extra half-moon of training than usual for her mentor to be satisfied she had developed her focus enough to properly fulfil her duties as a warrior… even if it didn’t extend as far as the rest of her time.

Warrior

Rainsong has just recently become a warrior along with her siblings, but still retains a childlike outlook on the world. She longs for everyone to be happy and all to be right with their home and has yet to learn that this is not always the case, despite having lived through such tragedies as the Scale Plague.

Roleplay Sample:

 From The-Blue-Tides

Batshade stood just inside the shadowy cover of the pine trees, his blue eyes narrowed to slits as he looked out to the open field of yellowing grass that grew just beyond the border. Though he wouldn't admit it to most cats, he found the idea of being so out in the open uncomfortable to no end; being so exposed had no appeal to him whatsoever. Unfortunately for him, his better nature and decent sensibilities took over, driving him to the border for a lesson with Spiderbite. Thinking of the predicament the little she-cat was in know brought back the memories of his own sudden advancement, something he hadn't expected for many, many seasons. His situation had been a bit different however; while Spiderbite had been apprenticed as a medicine cat for barely two moons, he had had nearly four seasons' worth of training to rely on at the time. His own apprentice, the third he'd had, had more training than her.
It's like Autumnwhisper all over again. Batshade thought to himself. With a slight ache in his heart, he took a deep breath to gather his resolve then stepped forward with one white splattered paw, his dark fur no longer able to latch onto shadows to hide him as he made his way towards the border.
